How it works

  • The first round is a random draw. After that, every pairing comes from the live leaderboard.
  • The app sorts players by points and, in each group of four, pairs 1st and 3rd against 2nd and 4th. So the top-ranked player partners the third-ranked, and they face the second- and fourth-ranked, and so on down the table.
  • The player count must be a multiple of four, so every court is full and nobody sits out. Eight, 12 and 16 players are the common sizes.
  • Each match is played to 32 points across both teams. If a match ends 18–14, both winners add 18 and both losers add 14.
  • Points are individual. Because the next round depends on the table, every point matters until the last rally.
  • Every round is built from scratch off the standings, so the schedule adapts as the table changes.
